There are no known side effects of Maca but like any other supplement it should not be taken in large amounts. High doses are considered to have a relaxing effect on the heart, rather than a tension creating effect like caffeine.

Maca is non-toxic, has no dangerous side effects and no withdrawal symptoms

Maca has distinctive malt-like flavour. Some people like eating it straight as it is by the spoonful.

As Maca dissolves easily it is perfect to mix it into my daily juice and smoothies.
